A mental health advocate says the start of the school year can be a trigger for children with anxiety.
Catalpa Health President Mary Downs say it can be tough for some to transition from a laid-back summer schedule, to days filled with classes, practice and homework.
Downs says while it can be difficult, it’s important for families to eat dinner together, and just talk about their days. She says asking about the best part of a child’s day, or the most challenging, can help.
Downs was a guest on Fresh Take with Josh Dukelow on WHBY this morning.
