Bad Wolves’ latest single “Sober” off their new album N.A.T.I.O.N is the featured track for the upcoming Sno Babies movie from Better Noise Films. The video for the song can be seen below and features footage from the film depicting the impact that addiction has on families and relationships, while also showing that recovery is possible.
Bad Wolves lead singer Tommy Vext says:
“This song was a unique opportunity to talk about addiction not only from the perspective of the addict but also from the perspective of their loved ones…the message is very different from traditional songs that seem to always perpetuate a mentality of self-victimization which is exactly the kind of misguided thinking that perpetuates the mental obsessive side of alcoholism and addiction. In the end the moral of the story is about holding on to not giving up on ourselves or the people who are trying – who are really, really trying to make and better themselves.”
Sno Babies comes out in June of 2020 and is about two teenage girls who battle with opiate addiction.
The band hopes to use the video as a platform to raise awareness for The Global Recovery Initiatives (GRI) and their effort to provide access to recovery support services throughout the US.
In addition to their work on Sno Babies and with GRI, Bad Wolves has started an Indiegogo Program to benefit Rock to Recovery which Vext talks about in the video below.
Bad Wolves will be at the Rave on May 12th with Hollwood Undead and at Rock USA on July 18th.
