When we saw the headline that Scott Stapp, the frontman of Creed and accomplished solo artist was going to make his feature film debut by portraying the legendary Frank Sinatra we weren’t sure what to think, Cutter reached out to Scott and asked him.
“Hey man! Yeah, its real Thank you and I really appreciate you reaching out! Look forward to seeing you when this craziness is behind us and were back on tour. Until then, Happy Holidays and keep ROCKING my brother.”
So there you have it. The movie itself is about former President Ronald Reagan and stars Dennis Quaid with Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan. The scene that Scott is in will take place while Mr. Reagan was the President of the Screen Actors Guild and Frank was performing at an event for the guild. Scott also had this to say about playing Frank;
“Sinatra in performance mode was an exercise in restraint. He had this steely, stylish swagger and his sheer presence commanded a room. I was excited to join the cast and blown away by the on-set attention to detail, style, and overall production.”
The movie is set for 2021 release.
Scott’s latest album is called The Space Between The Shadows and features the hit songs “Purpose for Pain” and “Survivor.”
