If you are stuck inside and trying to entertain your children… try these easy science experiments!
Hot Ice
Use white vinegar, baking soda and water to create this hot ice science experiment. Pour the vinegar into a pot and then add baking soda (slowly) one tablespoon at a time. Stir the mixture until the baking soda is dissolved and then boil the solution over medium low heat for about an hour. Pour into a glass measuring cup and put in the fridge to cool. Very carefully take the solution out and pour very slowly and crystals will begin to form instantly! Continue pouring the growing “ice” and see how tall of a tower you can create.
Shaving Cream Rain Cloud
Create a sensory rain cloud experience with shaving cream. Fill a glass or jar 3/4 of the way with water and add shaving cream to the top. Mix some food coloring with water. Add drops of this water to the shaving cream… as the “cloud” gets heavier, it will start to “rain!”
