Korn frontman Jonathan Davis sat down with Revolver to tell the story of how Korn got their name and logo.
“The Korn logo came about when we were trying to come up with a band name. Our manager at the time Larry, we told him that we were going to call it corn and he was like ‘You can’t name your band corn.’ So we told him ‘well we’re gonna name it Larry then.”
“I fucking chuckle to this day that my band’s name is Korn. Its fucking funny.”
The logo came when promotors began asking for logos as the band was trying to book shows. Davis said
“I grabbed a crayon and a piece of paper and I wrote Korn with my left hand like a child would write it. And that became the logo. That little piece of envelope.”
