Man’s best friend deserves better than treats out of a box! Here’s three recipes for dog treats you can make at home.
Apple Carrot Dog Biscuits
Start by grating the apples and carrots. In a separate bowl, mix flour, oats and brown sugar (optional) and set aside. Beat eggs and mix in oil, water and grated apples and carrots. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix completely. Roll out your dough and use a small cookie cutter to cut out your shapes. Bake for 40-45 minutes and cool.
Ice Cream for Dogs
Perfect for a hot summer day! Blend bananas with peanut butter and plain yogurt. Fill muffin pan liners about 2/3 full and place a mini biscuit in the center. Freeze until solid.
Pumpkin Dog Treats
Start by mixing flour, flax seeds and baking flour. In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin and oil together. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together. Roll out your dough and cut out your treats with a cookie cutter. Bake for 20-25 minutes and cool.
