On September 10th Metallica released the 30th-anniversary edition of their breakthrough self-titled album, more commonly referred to as The Black Album. Originally released on August 12, 1991, it’s become one of the biggest selling albums in history and made Metallica a household name. To celebrate the 30th anniversary Metallica released a remastered edition and a box set that features over 50 different musicians covering songs from the album. On the day of its release the band joined Jimmy Kimmel Live! for live performances at the historic Griffith Observatory, an extensive interview, and even a little fun with one-star amazon reviews.
