MAPLE VALLEY Wis–An Oconto County Sheriff’s deputy and his canine unit avoid injuries after crashing into a washed out rural road. A Facebook post from the department shows the squad car nose-down in flowing water that had washed out a portion of County Highway A in the town of Maple Valley Thursday night.
The post says the officer was driving on A when the roadway collapsed under the vehicle. The deputy and the police dog were able to get out on their own. That was one of several incidents Thursday night of roads washing out in Oconto County due to heavy rains.
