A collaboration for the ages!
This past Friday (Aug. 19th), Starset released a new song titled “Waiting On The Sky To Change,” with a very special featured guest. Breaking Benjamin joined forces with the Ohio-based rockers to bring this track to life.
“Waiting On The Sky To Change” was originally released in 2011 by Downplay, Starset vocalist Dustin Bates’ original band he fronted until they went on hiatus in 2013. Bates has said that since this track was written for Downplay, he wouldn’t necessarily consider it to be a cover as it was his song to begin with.
Bates leans into Breaking Benjamin vocalist Ben Burnley’s style as both bands channel the ultimate intersection of the original track’s rhythm and their respective bands’ signature sounds. Check it out!
