Fozzy frontman Chris Jericho injured his throat in early August, causing a delay of their upcoming “Save The World” tour. In a statement released on Fozzy’s website, it is revealed that Jericho suffered a bruised larynx on August 10th during an AEW wrestling event in Minneapolis.
“On August 10th during the Quake By The Lake AEW event in Minneapolis, Chris suffered a throat injury that left him with a severely bruised larynx. Unfortunately, even though the injury is healing and is NOT permanent, Chris hasn’t fully recovered and his laryngologist has recommended that Fozzy postpone the first two weeks of the Save The World tour (scheduled to start in Columbus on Sept 8) in order to facilitate a full recovery as soon as possible.”
The tour was supposed to kick off in Columbus on September 8th. Now, Fozzy’s first show will take place on September 29th in Charlotte. All tickets previously purchased for the original show dates will be honored at the rescheduled shows. Fozzy was slated to come through The Rave in Milwaukee on September 17th, however that show will now take place on March 25th, 2023.
