WWE star Bray Wyatt (Windham Rotunda) who also wrestled as The Fiend has passed away at the age of 36. Rotunda had been inactive in WWE for the past few months while dealing with an undisclosed health issue. His family called his passing “unexpected and sudden.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com is reporting that Rotunda passed from a heart attack.
“I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated heart issues. There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.”

Triple H posted to X (Twitter) saying:
“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”

Rotunda came from a wrestling family and was a third-generation wrestler. His father, Mike Rotunda, gained fame as Irwin R. Schyster. His uncle, Barry Windham, was a former member of the Four Horsemen stable and was a highly regarded wrestler in the 1980s and early 90s. He was the grandson of Blackjack Mulligan and his brother, Taylor, wrestles for WWE and has used the moniker Bo Dallas in the past. Rotunda was best known as Bray Wyatt, the leader of the Wyatt Family. He also had an alter-ego Fiend persona that was the mind behind The Firefly Funhouse.
Windham Rotunda was married to JoJo Offerman (former WWE ring announcer) and shares two children with her, along with two other children from a previous marriage. He was a two-time WWE Universal champion and former WWE champion.
