Tobias Forge who of course is the mastermind behind the band Ghost once told me that he plans everything out years in advance. So when Ghost announces a new world tour and they say it’s unnamed (for now) I have to think there’s more to come. Let the speculation begin. For now, if you’re a fan of the band Ghost at least you have a new tour to get excited for. Well, there is one condition. “This will be a phone-free experience. Phones will be secured in your pouches. Guests maintain possession of their phones at all times.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, November 1st with a presale for Citi Bank members on Halloween.
The last time I spoke to Tobias we dug deep into their latest album Impera.
The last taste of new music we had from Ghost is the song “The Future is a Foreign Land” which is in the same vein as “Mary on a Cross.” The song is from the Rite Here Right Now concert film which should see a full digital release soon.
So again you want to speculate that there isn’t a name for the new Ghost world tour? If I were a betting man (and I am) be on the lookout for new Ghost music before that tour kicks off next spring.
