More people are using the Fox River Locks.
Fox River Navigational System Authority CEO Jeremy Cords says the pandemic is keeping people closer to home. He believes people feel comfortable being in a boat with four or five people from their small family or social groups.
He says the boat traffic through the locks more than doubled in June, compared to last year. Cords reports passenger numbers nearly doubled to more than 5,000.
He says more than 150 boats used the locks over the Fourth of July weekend, compared to nearly 100 last year.
