The National Transportation Safety Board releases more information about a fatal plane crash in Janesville. The Velocity V-Twin homebuilt initially departed Appleton Tuesday morning en route to Sebastian, Florida. The single-engine aircraft stopped at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport around 9:00 that morning to refuel. The pilot radioed in an engine problem and was attempting to return to the airport for an emergency landing. The aircraft crashed into a creek a few minutes later. Two people on-board were killed. Their names have not been released.
