If you had Pantera announcing a 2023 tour on your 2022 bingo card, you may be the only one.
According to Billboard, the metal legends are planning a tour in 2023 making it their first tour under the Pantera name since 2001. Right now it is unknown who will fill in for late guitarist Dimebag Darrell, as well as late drummer Vinnie Paul. Dennis Arfa and Peter Pappalardo of Artist Group International will serve as the group’s agent.
“We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans.”
At this point in time no dates are confirmed, and there aren’t any posts regarding the news on any of Pantera’s social media accounts, or those of surviving members Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown. Pantera’s last show took place on August 26th, 2001 at Beast Fest in Japan. A clip from their last performance is viewable below.
This is a developing story, and we will provide updates as they are available.
