The second and quintessential album from Seattle sludge rockers Alice In Chains called Dirt is celebrating 30 years since it’s release. The album is a head first dive into the world of drug addiction and depression. Dirt is most well known for it’s incredible hits including opening track ‘Them Bones’, Jerry Cantrell’s ode to his father ‘Rooster’, the hauntingly beautiful, though often misinterpreted, love song ‘Down In A Hole’ and the band’s tribute to late Mother Love Bone front-man Andrew Wood ‘Would?’. Smashed between the hits are harrowing tales sung with unimaginable power and passion from the late great Layne Staley.
Now 30 years later Alice in Chains is releasing Dirt all over again but now with and crap ton of extras. Like all of this.
