Hard rock legends Godsmack are back with new music! Their newest work is titled “Surrender”, and it is quite the catchy track complete with melodic riffs, anthemic choruses, and a dynamic bridge. “Surrender” marks the first new flavor fans have gotten from the Boston-based rockers since their 2018 release When Legends Rise, which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 200. Vocalist Sully Erna spoke on the inspiration behind the new single.
“‘Surrender’ is a very cut and dry song. It’s simply about the exhaustion we can all feel in relationships at times from the redundancy of fighting with each other. At a certain point in our lives, we submit to putting aside who’s right or wrong, we just want it to STOP! So we wave the white flag.”
Erna also stated earlier this year that Godsmack’s newest album is complete, and it could quite possibly be their last after quite the 25 year run. Check out “Surrender” below!
