OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Oshkosh Fire Department sets a record for service calls in 2022.
Fire chief Mike Stanley says his department logged 10,405 calls last year, which is an average of 29 a day. That’s an 8 percent increase over 2021. It also marks the first time the Oshkosh Fire Department has surpassed 10,000 calls annually.
Stanley cites population increases and an aging population for the record number of calls.
Chief Stanley expects that upward trend to continue.
