Just a few hours after Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan announced that he would be leaving the band’s current tour temporarily due to family health issues, Slipknot announced that they have parted ways with sampler and keyboardist Craig Jones after 26 years. The band put out a statement on social media saying “To our fans, Slipknot is announcing that we have parted ways with Craig Jones. We wish Jones all the best for the future.”
UPDATE (5:15PM/CST):
The original posts that were made to Slipknot’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have been removed. No word as to what is happening.

A few hours after posting a message about the departure of Craig Jones, and then removing it, Slipknot made a post of what appears to be a new band member before kicking off their UK tour with said member.
