This past Saturday (July 8), alternative metal outlet In This Moment kicked off their summer run of shows at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. The bill features a stacked lineup which includes co-headliner and metalcore veterans Motionless In White, as well as Kit For A King, and From Ashes To New. During the show, In This Moment premiered two new tracks off of their forthcoming eighth studio album.
Although no official info has been made public, we know the group finished up recording earlier this year and have already been implementing new songs from it into their set. Fans at the CT show were treated to previously unheard tracks “The Purge”, as well as “Sacrifice” in addition to the platinum hits that fans can expect at most ITM live shows. In This Moment appears to be teasing a music video for one of the two new tracks as well. Yesterday (July 9), a short clip was posted to social media indicating that the music video for “The Purge” will be released on Tuesday, July 18th.
