GREEN BAY, Wis.– A Brown County judge rules that a Green Bay woman accused of killing and dismembering a man is fit to stand trial.
Judge Thomas Walsh orders the trial of Taylor Schabusiness to continue with jury selection this afternoon. Schabusiness’ defense presented a psychologist last week that testified she believed Schabusiness was not mentally competent to stand trial.
Schabusiness is accused of choking Shad Thyrion to death during sex, cutting up his body, and hiding the parts in his mother’s basement back in February of 2022. She faces life in prison if convicted. Opening arguments and testimony are slated to begin on Monday.
