WINCHESTER, Wis–The Winchester Fire Department is settling in to its new building. The town dedicated the new fire station over the weekend, but it’s not as clearly marked as it could be. P and D Metalworks and Statewide Metal Coating created a custom metal sign to put on the new fire station.
However, it does not meet the town’s sign ordinance, which allows a maximum of 32-square feet.
A petition drive is underway to have the town board create an exemption for the fire station sign.
