Well, we can confidently say that 2024 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride for rock fans. From iconic band reunions to jaw-dropping scandals, this year has kept us on the edge of our seats, reminding us why we fell in love with this hard rock in the first place.
Creed’s Triumphant Return
One of the most exhilarating moments came with the reunion of Creed, a band that defined the early 2000s with their powerful sound. After a lengthy hiatus, the guys are back and ready to rock. Their “Summer of ‘99” reunion tour kicked off in Green Bay on July 17th, and let me tell you, it was a show to remember. The energy in that venue was electric, and it felt amazing to see the band reignite the passion of their loyal fanbase.

Linkin Park’s New Era
Next up was Linkin Park, who ushered in a new chapter following the heartbreaking loss of Chester Bennington in 2017. With Emily Armstrong stepping in as the new lead singer, the band has found a way to honor Chester’s legacy while forging ahead. Their new album, “From Zero,” released on November 15th, showcases a fresh sound that still resonates with the emotional depth we’ve come to expect from them. We’re really looking forward to their World Tour in 2025, especially their stop at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on August 25th.
The Return of Adam Gontier
And how could we forget about Adam Gontier? The original voice of Three Days Grace has made a triumphant return, sharing the stage with current frontman Matt Walst. The buzz surrounding their reunion has been awesome, and fans are eagerly anticipating their upcoming tour with Disturbed in 2025. We can’t wait to catch them live at the Fiserv Forum on March 4th!
Jane’s Addiction’s On-Stage Altercation
However, not all news has been rosy. Jane’s Addiction faced a shocking on-stage altercation between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro during a live performance. That kind of drama is never what we want to see from our rock legends, but it certainly got people talking.
Dave Grohl Baby Scandal
In another surprising twist, Dave Grohl found himself in hot water with the revelation of an out-of-wedlock child. As a beloved figure in the rock community, this scandal has sparked widespread discussion and even led to the Foo Fighters canceling their 2025 tour. Fans are left wondering what this means for the band’s future.
The Fusion of Country and Rock
2024 has also seen an exciting fusion of genres, with artists like Jelly Roll and Hardy blending country and rock in innovative ways. Their music captures the essence of heartfelt storytelling while delivering electrifying guitar riffs that resonate with fans from both sides of the spectrum. This genre-blurring movement has sparked curiosity and excitement among listeners.
As we approach the end of 2024, it’s clear that this year has been a wild ride for rock music. With reunions that tug at our nostalgic heartstrings and controversies that remind us of the complexities of fame, the landscape of rock continues to evolve. Here’s to hoping that 2025 brings even more surprises and unforgettable moments for all of us rock aficionados.
